2018 Yamaha Grizzly EPS SE Review – Grizzly is number one in sales, well liked by many people and my personal favorite 4 × 4 utility for a reason, it seems to do everything you would expect from a top of the line 4 × 4, but only do so at a higher level. 2017 Grizzly is designed to be the most convenient, off-road capable and durable big bore ATVs bar none.

New for 2017 is Matte Silver SE with machined aluminum wheels, painted plastics and specialty graphics, new models Alpine White with machined aluminum wheels, and a new model of Blue Steel machined aluminum wheels. Additionally, now all Grizzly ATV will be equipped with EPS. 2017 Polaris Grizzly also offered in Hunter Green, Realtree Xtra® and Crimson Metallic Limited Edition (LE) featuring painted plastics, specialty graphics, machined aluminum wheels, detachable fairing with windscreen, heated grips, mother warmer and heated seats.

2018 Yamaha Grizzly EPS SE – Engine

2018 Yamaha Grizzly EPS SE ha has a 2-wheel drive (4×2). While these results are less traction than a 4×4 system, allowing the vehicle to be lighter and handles better. Front differential lock Yamaha Grizzly EPS SE hold steady in uncertain terrain by preventing the wheels with less / no traction on the free-wheeling. Engine braking system (EBS) allows for a safe descent down a steep hill with a very low speed.

The model is powered by a 4-valve, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 708cc engine, placing it in the displacement class The 10.1: 1 compression ratio is 0% higher than the average utility ATV. A higher compression ratio desirable because it means that the machine can do the same amount of work with less fuel, which leads to increased efficiency and power for a given engine size; a high compression ratio is an indication of high performance.

A cylinder bore and stroke of 4.06in 3.35in oversquare make this engine, which means that it is more powerful than similarly sized engine with a smaller hole.

Grizzly EPS SE comes standard with a 5-speed automatic transmission featuring a clutch automatically. Engine braking is also included for a finer speed control, especially when going down steep terrain. A final drive shaft transfers power to the axle. Adding power steering and a locking differential into the mix and you’ve got yourself one vehicle to maneuver!

2018 Yamaha Grizzly EPS SE – Features

Yamaha Grizzly EPS SE has an independent, double wishbone front and rear suspension. As a bonus, the system is fully-adjustable and equipped with a standard anti-sway bar.

In front, the trip is 7.6in, while behind it is a 9.1in, a positive difference of 1.5in. This means that the rear of the journey more than the front, which may indicate that this model is designed to carry a lot of stuff (which would weigh down the rear and even weight distribution). If the difference becomes too large, however, the vehicle is running the risk of encouraging when navigating bumby, hilly terrain.
